62-year-old female driver
Drunk and driving without a license
During a traffic check near the Regau freeway exit, police officers noticed the "strange" behavior of a 62-year-old female driver. She was asked to take a rapid drug test, which was positive. The officers were unable to take her driver's license because the woman did not have a valid license.
On Tuesday afternoon, a patrol from the Seewalchen highway police carried out a driver and vehicle check on a 62-year-old woman from Altmünster at the Regau exit. The officers did not fail to notice the "intoxicated" behavior of the driver.
Suspicion confirmed
A rapid drug test was positive, the driver refused to take the breathalyzer test and the medical examination. A search of her car did not turn up a valid driver's license, but various drug paraphernalia was found.
House search ordered
The public prosecutor's office in Wels then ordered a house search and the police found what they were looking for: 800 grams of herbal cannabis, various narcotics paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon were found and seized. The driver and her companion of the same age will be charged.
