He flew, and flew, and flew! Ryoyu Kobayashi soared through the air for eight seconds before landing again after an incredible 291 meters. Now ski flying world record holder Stefan Kraft, who has returned from his vacation, has his say: "Hats off to Ryoyu. I would have loved to have jumped there too."
Ryoyu Kobayashi's incredible jump on a natural snow hill in Iceland was the winter sports sensation of April. The video of the record-breaking 291-metre flight was viewed more than 1.5 million times on the Japanese Olympic champion's Instagram account alone.
"Hallelujah. What have they put into it?" said ski flying world champion Stefan Kraft in amazement at the monster project organized by Red Bull while on vacation with his wife Marisa in the Seychelles.
