Perfect debut! Auer wins the Sprint Cup

Auer had a successful Sunday in the GT World Challenge Europe. The Tyrolean and his partner Maro Engel won the second round of the Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch in the south of England, after the duo from the Winward-Mercedes racing team had finished third in the first race.

"That was a really great weekend," said a jubilant Auer: 2First time on the grid in this series - and then a win and another podium straight away, simply fantastic. But our car was also really great - as were the mandatory stops and the strategy. Thanks to the whole team for that."
