Speeders stopped
Tyrolean police confiscate motorcycle for the first time
The motorcycle season has begun and the police are keeping a watchful eye on bikers. During a check in Kirchbichl in Tyrol on Saturday, the police pulled a particularly hasty biker out of traffic. The 27-year-old has not only lost his license.
A traffic control measure - as the story goes - was the speeder's undoing. At around 2.30 p.m., the 27-year-old was measured to be traveling at 208 km/h instead of the permitted 100 km/h on the main road.
Vehicle acceptance has been possible since March
The motorcyclist was stopped. He has now lost his driver's license as well as his motorcycle. This was confiscated in accordance with the regulations in force since March.
It was the second vehicle confiscation in Tyrol in one day. At around 4.30 a.m. in the Zillertal valley, a local man (51) was driving his car at 136 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. License and car are gone for the time being.
