Traiskirchen in crisis
Injury misery is only part of the truth
Traiskirchen are on the ropes in the Eastern Football League, having recently gone eight games in a row without a win. However, boss Werner Trost is not using the injury list alone as an excuse.
The fact that goalscorer Salko Mujanovic (who moved to Admira in the winter) still tops the scoring charts in the Eastern Football League with 16 goals shows just how important he was for Traiskirchen.
"Brought calm to the game"
It was just as difficult to compensate for his departure as it was for that of playmaker Düzgün (Ebreichsdorf). "Both were very experienced players who also brought the necessary calm to the game. Unfortunately, we don't have that at the moment," said chairman Werner Trost, who has not yet come to terms with the transfers.
And: the sick bay that just won't clear. In the 2:2 draw against Neusiedl, substitute keeper Rafsanjanipour even had to play as a striker. "But we can't just talk ourselves out of it, we're too vulnerable in defense and sometimes too harmless up front. Then you won't win any games!" Eight in a row recently.
"I had to be really annoyed"
Leobendorf remain the only unbeaten team this spring. However, there was no real joy after the 2-2 draw against Sportclub on Saturday. Of course, the home side also squandered a 2-0 lead and conceded the equalizer in the 95th minute. "Very bitter! I was really annoyed by some of the refereeing decisions," said section manager Patrick Batoha.
