D: Police officer (57) did not die from a blow to the head
A police officer (57) died on Saturday morning after an argument in a garden in Thuringia. The cause of death was a mystery. The autopsy results are now available.
What happened: According to initial investigations, 18-year-old Tobias Z. broke into an apartment building in Bad Frankenhausen at 0.30 a.m. on Saturday. The residents of the five-storey building heard suspicious noises and alerted the police.
According to the police, the 18-year-old German man resisted the officers and the emergency services during the operation. He kicked and hit 57-year-old Kai M. He then complained of feeling unwell, which "became increasingly worse". He collapsed and died shortly afterwards.
Indications of previous illnesses
It has now been revealed that there are no indications of any external causes of death. No head injuries were found either, according to "Bild". However, there are indications of pre-existing conditions, which are to be investigated further.
