Will Trauner coach be the new Jürgen Klopp?
According to information from British broadcaster Sky Sports and the Dutch media, top English club Liverpool have entered into negotiations with Feyenoord Rotterdam to sign their coach Arne Slot.
Slot's contract with the Dutch champions runs until 2026, so a transfer fee would be due for him. Tottenham were reportedly already very interested in Slot last season, but he decided to stay with Feyenoord. He has been at the club of Austrian international Gernot Trauner since the 2021/22 season. In his first season, the Dutch side reached the Conference League final and were crowned champions a year later.
Last Sunday, Feyenoord won the Dutch Cup final. Slot would succeed Jürgen Klopp, the German leaving Liverpool at the end of the season after nine years.
