Debut EP "Mess"
Siska delivers soul therapy for her generation
With her debut EP "Mess", young talent and musician Siska is making her first major mark on the local scene. She is already conquering the local radio landscape with her hyperpop.
In her promo pictures, Siska likes to present herself in a camouflage suit or dressed up in a shirt and tie. In any case, both motifs suggest self-confidence and self-empowerment, which are also accompanied by a striking dose of unpredictability.
Siska recently released her debut EP "Mess" and celebrated the work in front of an enthusiastic audience at Fluc am Praterstern. Musically, the native of Upper Austria can be located in the booming subgenre of hyperpop, which at times is reminiscent of genre greats such as Charli XCX. Again and again, Siska's delicate voice meets distorted sounds and dissonant beats. The musician, who actually comes from a classical and choral background, also loves catchy harmonies.
"Mess" is a soul therapy cast in sound that deals with letting go, distancing and self-acceptance. With these songs, Siska speaks from the soul of her generation.
