Little loot, high property damage! Two suspects are in custody - and yet the series of cab break-ins continues.

Cab driver Franz Manussiger(name changed by the editors) has had a bad feeling for days. "The whole thing isn't over yet, there's a gang at work," he told the "Krone" newspaper last week.

Like his colleagues, Franz Manussiger is stunned: the series of cab burglaries continues.

It is now a sad certainty: on Sunday night, vandals once again smashed the windows of four cabs in the Salzburg area. "Simply unbelievable. Someone must really hate us," says Manussiger, stunned.

In the past few weeks - as reported by the "Krone" - there have been almost 100 similar incidents in the city. With the help of cab drivers, the police were able to arrest two suspects last week. The Iraqi (28) and his accomplice (18) from Upper Austria are still in Puch-Urstein prison. They are said to be responsible for almost 50 burglaries. Who is responsible for the recently smashed cab windows?

There is still no trace of the perpetrators. "The investigation is ongoing," the police said on request. In any case, the loot from the four break-ins in the Itzling and Gnigl districts was again small. The property damage is all the higher. Driver Manussiger: "This threatens our existence. Soon we won't know what to do."
