According to reports from Switzerland, the drama surrounding Lehmann began on Thursday.

Collapsed after heart attack
The 34-year-old, who was one of the best marathon runners in his country with a best time of 2:11:44 hours, collapsed during training after suffering a heart attack.

Although the athlete from LV Langenthal was given first aid immediately, Lehmann died on Saturday evening despite being quickly transported to hospital and receiving intensive medical care.

"We are immensely saddened and dismayed by this news. We extend our deepest condolences to Ädu's family and friends and wish them a lot of strength during this difficult time," said Christoph Seiler, President of Swiss Athletics.
