Divorced Natalie Portman doesn’t look back
"I tend to look forward." For the first time, Natalie Portman faces an interview after her divorce from husband Benjamin Millepied. Although at first glance the actress only talks about her career in "L'Officiel Italia", her statements could well have been directed at her private life.
The 42-year-old revealed that she is particularly attracted to films in which women seek their freedom: "I've unconsciously said yes to films in which women can tell their own stories."
Portman does not look back
However, she insists that she never reflects on her old roles or allows her movie characters to influence her to this day: "I don't think about the past."
Her confident words are matched by her pose on the cover of the magazine. Portman is wearing a sexy net dress through which her toned figure, bra and panties can be seen. She also throws a kiss to the reader with bright red lipstick.
Divorce after twelve years
Portman's marriage to French choreographer Benjamin Millepied ended in divorce in March after twelve years. The couple had lived in France with their children Aleph (12) and Amalia (7) in recent years.
The Oscar winner filed for divorce last July - one month after the French magazine "Voici" reported on an alleged affair between Millepied and 25-year-old environmentalist Camille Étienne. Portman has since refused to comment on the end of her marriage or the divorce.
In an interview with "Vanity Fair" in February, she was asked directly how it felt to be the subject of worldwide speculation about her marriage. Her answer: "It's just awful. That's why I have no desire to add anything myself."
