Heroin dealer brutally beaten and robbed

After a lengthy investigation, a 24-year-old man from Villach was found guilty of a serious robbery of a Slovenian drug dealer. The man from Villach also had an accomplice from Klagenfurt. All three are now in custody. 

Investigators became aware of the robbery last November in the course of cell phone analyses. The 24-year-old incited his 23-year-old Klagenfurt accomplice to lure the Slovenian dealer into a trap and rob him.  

Before the deceitful act, the duo prepared a bundle of money. "There was only newspaper inside," said the provincial police headquarters. Both Carinthians also armed themselves with pepper sprays. The two then lured the 35-year-old Slovenian into a side street in Villach. "When he wanted to take the narcotics from the glove compartment, he was attacked by the two with the pepper sprays and punches. The victim fled from his car, was caught up and beaten up and robbed by the men. The two men snatched the narcotics from him and fled. They then shared the drugs," said the police.

While the 24-year-old from Villach was arrested on January 14, the Slovenian was handcuffed in February. The 23-year-old was finally arrested on Thursday.
