Photovoltaic fitter fell four meters from roof

A 49-year-old electrician climbed a ladder onto the four-metre-high flat roof to connect the photovoltaic system. When he wanted to get back down to the terrace, the ladder began to slide.

"The ladder suddenly slipped away on the poly hardwood floor," reported the police. "The man was able to hold on to the eaves for a short time, but then fell backwards onto the terrace about four meters below." The homeowner was also standing on the roof at the time and tried to hold on to the ladder and then to the man.

Unfortunately, he was unable to prevent the fitter from falling, who suffered serious injuries, and immediately called the emergency services. "After receiving initial medical treatment, the injured man was taken to Klagenfurt Hospital by the ambulance service," concluded the police.
