71-year-old man trapped under lawn tractor – dead

A sunny Tuesday ended in tragedy in St. Johann am Walde (Upper Austria). A 71-year-old man was found motionless under a lawn tractor. The emergency services were alerted and were only able to determine that the man had died.

Tragic accident on Tuesday afternoon in St. Johann am Walde. A 71-year-old apparently took advantage of the beautiful day to do some gardening work, but the accident occurred shortly after 5 pm.

Pensioner succumbed to his injuries on site
The man was found trapped under the lawn tractor on a steep slope. However, the emergency services alerted - including three fire departments, police, ambulance and an emergency helicopter - were unable to help the injured man. The 71-year-old succumbed to his injuries on site.
