Five and six years in prison for a cut to the face

The "Krone" reported: A man from Pinzgau wanted to help a girl in Kaprun during an argument with her ex on the night of September 10th. This turned into an act of bloodshed - now there is a verdict.

The girl's ex-boyfriend, a Palestinian refugee (21), broke a beer bottle and pushed it into the Pinzgauer's face. A local accomplice (18) also kicked the victim.

The result: a 35 centimeter scar across his face. The two perpetrators were sentenced to five and six years in prison on Monday at the Salzburg Regional Court. Victim's lawyer Stefan Rieder was awarded 2000 euros.
