Former team player
Allegri successor: He should become Juve coach
Will Juventus Turin appoint a new coach in the summer? According to the Italian newspaper "Calciomercato", the "Old Lady" is said to have Thiago Motta on their radar as Massimiliano Allegri's successor.
According to the report, Juve's sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is a big fan of the 41-year-old. Motta, who played 30 games for Italy's national team during his active career, is currently on the coaching bench at Bologna, where he counts ÖFB right-back Stefan Posch among his protégés.
On course for the Champions League
The "Rossoblu" are currently four points behind the Turin side in fourth place in Serie A and are therefore fully on course for the Champions League. According to "Calciomercato", Juve have already reached an agreement in principle with Motta, who is set to follow in Allegri's footsteps in the summer.
Although the 56-year-old is still under contract in Turin until 2025, the club bosses are reportedly no longer satisfied with Allegri's work and want to terminate the contract early.
