Accident in Freistadt

Pedestrian run down at the crosswalk

A moment of distraction or lack of concentration - and it happened! In Freistadt, a car driver overlooked a pedestrian who was trying to cross the road at the crosswalk. The collision was so violent that the 29-year-old was thrown to the ground and lay injured.

The 61-year-old woman from Freistadt was driving her car on Nordkammstraße in Freistadt from Böhmertor towards B125 Linzer Straße at around 6:35 pm. When the woman wanted to turn onto the B125 in the direction of Freistadt Süd, she probably overlooked a 29-year-old woman from Freistadt who was crossing a safety path.

Taken to the city hospital
The pedestrian was hit by the car and thrown to the ground. She was injured to an indeterminate degree and was taken to Freistadt Hospital after first aid.
