Also valid at Artedea
The culture ticket “costs almost nothing” for students
It enables Carinthian students to attend mostly expensive events
A 1-euro ticket for students is only available at the Gustav Mahler Private University of Music (GMPU). This idea was launched at the university just under a year ago. "We want to open the doors to young people who are interested in culture. Students have to turn over every penny several times anyway," says Head of Concert Hall and University Director Peter Töplitzer.
Ticket is well received
After almost a year of start-up, the ticket is very popular with students at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, the University of Teacher Education and the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. "The Kulturticket has now been well received," says GMPU events manager Monika Schmidinger. And it is valid for as many as 50 events a year that offer music at the very highest level. The "Kost fast nix-Ticket" can be picked up at the box office 15 minutes before the start with a student ID.
The Kulturticket is of course also valid for the ARTEDEA competition, which was initiated by the Klagenfurt Lions Club. Five chamber music ensembles, selected by a jury from a total of 19 groups, will be competing. "And on a 360-degree stage. There are 2500 euros to be won," says Lions President Johannes Pöschl. The competition is being held in collaboration with GMPU, "Kärntner Krone" and ORF. The entries will be broadcast via live stream. For the first time, there will be an audience award. date: April 10 (7:15 pm) at the Klagenfurt Konzerthaus
