Liveable cities: what does it take?

The term "vibrant city" is no coincidence. In cities, life takes place in completely different dimensions; with all its facets, whether positive or negative. You have to be born to live in the city, some would say. What is certain is that Vienna is not the only city facing certain challenges in terms of quality of life. 

Even if our capital is still considered the most liveable city in the world: whether it's crime, vacant stores, housing shortages or a lack of green spaces - there is a lot to do. This affects many cities in Austria. 

What aspects make a residential area particularly liveable for you personally (infrastructure, safety, recreational areas or community cohesion)? What do you see as the biggest challenges for Austria's cities in the coming years and how could these be dealt with?
