Group of criminals caught red-handed after tip-off

This tip was hot: the police in Salzburg received a tip about a group of offenders who had already made a name for themselves with several burglaries in Upper Austria and Salzburg.

The Salzburg State Criminal Police Office was informed about a group of Croatian offenders who were in Salzburg to commit burglaries.

The suspects were identified by means of a manhunt. They were then observed committing two burglaries in Freistadt. 

A 31-year-old Croatian citizen and his 36-year-old accomplice were then arrested. Jewelry was seized in their vehicle, which was linked to the burglaries in Freistadt and an earlier burglary in Linz. Further investigations led to a burglary in an apartment in Salzburg on the same day.

The total loss amounts to several thousand euros. After questioning, both suspects were taken to Linz prison.
