The meaning of election posters
“We won’t remember any of the many slogans”
The Tyrolean capital is teeming with election posters. The "Krone" asked an expert to analyze how useful different series actually are, what marmots have lost on the posters and what stands out in this election campaign.
The people of Innsbruck are called upon to vote for the municipal council and mayor on April 14. The first election posters - by the Green Party's Georg Willi and the Blue Party's Markus Lassenberger - could already be seen at one bus stop or another at the end of November (!). Since then, the subjects have changed several times and some parties have repeatedly presented new series.
But how sensible is that really? The "Tiroler Krone" asked Peter Schneckenleitner, Professor of Communication Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein, and Lore Hayek, University Assistant at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Innsbruck, for their expert opinion.
