Tyrolean (58) transferred thousands of euros to crooks

A Tyrolean (58) from Oberau in the Wildschönau (Kufstein district) fell for an online scam on Wednesday. The crook pretended to be an employee of a security company and scammed thousands of euros in this way.

The 58-year-old was contacted by telephone around midday on Wednesday. The caller was a supposed employee of a security company. The stranger then tricked the man into downloading an app.

Enormous damage
He then asked him to make several transfers to different accounts. The victim suffered losses of several thousand euros.
