"DeathSprint 66"
There are no vehicles in this crazy racing game
Sumo Digital and developer Secret Mode are causing a stir among PC gamers with an interesting "racing game" announcement. In "DeathSprint 66" there are daring races in a colorful setting, but no vehicles.
"It's the year 2066 and the Bachman Media Network is once again set to dominate the world of brutal entertainment with their latest series of headline shows. In DeathSprint 66, challengers compete as clone jockeys," the developers describe the unconventional scenario in which clones race against each other in crazy, colorful cyberpunk courses.
Colorful course action with items à la "Mario Kart"
The aim is to avoid traps, overtake rivals and keep them at a distance with items such as boosters, shields and weapon systems in order to cross the finish line first. You can see how this is supposed to play and how the brutal races are staged in the trailer above.
"DeathSprint 66" is due to be released for PC in 2024, but the exact release date has not yet been revealed.
