Dog discovered on island after twelve days
Tragic accident with a happy ending: twelve days ago, the dog "Famke" jumped from her owners' ship into the waters of the Moselle in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Since then, she had disappeared without a trace. Now the great relief - the dog was discovered on a river island.
After the 15-year-old dog "Famke" jumped into the Moselle on March 15, her sad owners searched desperately for her. A poster read: "Despite her age, she is still fit, so she could have made it to the shore. It is possible that she is frightened after this experience."
Fire department intervened
The fire department was actually able to rescue the dog. Visitors to the campsite had noticed the animal on Wednesday, which was opposite them on an island near Zell an der Mosel, according to the police.
The Cocker Spaniel mix was in good condition and remained in the care of the fire department for the time being.
