Tenants furious: “We are the eyesore of Hall”
The cohesion of those affected is good, but that of the façade is questionable. While rents are rising, the residents' patience is waning. They say: it can't go on like this! But there is no solution in sight. The non-profit property developer Wohnungseigentum is aware of the catastrophic conditions. But there is no money for renovation.
More than two dozen tenants of a housing estate on Innweg in Hall in Tyrol stand in the rain-soaked weather. Ms. Schöpf is one of 91 parties: "I said to them: 'Either they take care of it or I'll call in the 'Krone'." Who specifically should take care of it? The non-profit building association Wohnungseigentum - or the city of Hall - but apparently no one has taken care of it. And so the "Krone" is greeted with cheers as we drive through the rain to get an idea of the situation.
