Civil patrol stops speeding driver with probationary license

At more than 160 km/h, an 18-year-old holder of a probationary driving license sped through an 80 km/h zone in Völkermarkt. Behind him was a civil patrol from the Carinthian traffic department.

The young man accelerated his vehicle from Ruhstatt downhill late on Friday evening. The plainclothes patrol drove behind and was able to measure a speeding of 85 km/h in the 80 km/h restriction there!

Coasting through the 70s at 150
"The 18-year-old then allowed his vehicle to coast through the 70 km/h limit and also exceeded the limit by 80 km/h here. He was therefore driving at 150 kilometers per hour," said the police.

The man was then stopped. Due to the violations, his driver's license was confiscated on the spot.
