Real star goalkeeper Courtois injures his knee again!
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is out again with a knee injury after tearing his cruciate ligament last year!
The Belgian suffered an injury to the meniscus of his right knee during training, as Spain's record soccer champions announced on Tuesday. Courtois left the training ground in tears, reported Belgian broadcaster RTBF. Courtois tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee last August. It is unclear how long he will be out for.
The usually well-informed sports newspaper "Marca" wrote that Courtois' season was over and that tests had revealed a torn meniscus. Courtois' participation in the European Championships in Germany this summer is also questionable for other reasons.
Dispute between Courtois and national team coach Tedesco
Last year, during the European Championship qualifiers - Belgium finished first in their group with Austria - a dispute flared up between the goalkeeper and national team coach Domenico Tedesco. Courtois was reportedly annoyed that he was not named captain of the team.
