Farewell for Bayern and Kimmich apparently an issue
For several months now, Joshua Kimmich has been linked with a move away from FC Bayern. The time could actually come in the summer, with both club and player said to be open to transfer talks.
As reported by Sky, FC Bayern are said to be prepared to let the 29-year-old leave if a suitable offer is made. Kimmich, who is still under contract with the Munich club until 2025, is said to be on the wish list of top Premier League clubs Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in particular - clubs that the German international can certainly imagine moving to, according to reports.
Talks planned
A contract extension in Munich cannot be ruled out, however, and talks with the club bosses are set to take place in the coming weeks and months.
Kimmich has been one of the German record champions' mainstays since his arrival in Munich in 2015, but is currently struggling for playing time in the six-man position alongside the in-form Aleksandar Pavlovic. The Bundesliga club also want to continue planning with Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer. With all the problems the club still had in this position at the start of the season, the defensive midfield is increasingly becoming the scene of an internal team battle for playing time.
