Bayern’s shopping list: Eberl wants these stars
FC Bayern Munich are apparently facing a major shake-up after their disastrous season. And there are even some big names on the shopping list of new sporting director Max Eberl.
According to the German newspaper "Sport-Bild", Chris Führich, for example, is on the German record champions' wish list to put pressure on Leroy Sane. The 26-year-old Stuttgart star has an exit clause. Should VfB reach the Champions League, Führich would cost an estimated 23.5 million euros, according to reports.
60 million euros
For the position in defensive midfield, Bayern are said to have increasingly moved away from signing Fulham's Joao Palhinha and have their sights set much more on Martin Zubimendi. The 25-year-old Spaniard is under contract with Real Sociedad San Sebastian until 2027, but is said to have a release clause of 60 million euros. Bonus argument: Zubimendi is an ex-player of preferred coach Xabi Alonso and even has the same advisor as the current Leverkusen coach.
40 million euros
Speaking of Alonso! His whirlwind Jeremie Frimpong has also been on Bayern's radar since Eberl took over in Munich. The 23-year-old Dutchman's release clause is said to be 40 million euros, but it would have to be drawn before the European Championship.
100 million euros
Bayern also have concrete plans in central defense. Ronald Araújo from FC Barcelona should definitely be brought in this summer after talks stalled in the winter. No wonder! The exit clause for the 25-year-old Uruguayan is said to be over 100 million euros.
