Tradition collection
Lena Hoschek’s new traditional costumes are so seductive
Lena Hoschek's latest creations are quite seductive. For her new Tradition collection, the designer was inspired by antique frescoes and delicate meadow flowers in Mediterranean landscapes.
Lena Hoschek has been presenting a traditional costume collection under the Lena Hoschek Tradition label twice a year since 2009. However, the current creations are particularly seductive.
Mediterranean flair as inspiration
Hoschek was inspired by a walk through Mediterranean landscapes and faded frescoes. The designer transferred the filigree details from the antique wall paintings, capturing the romantic atmosphere of the works of art and artfully placing them on the collection's skirts and dresses in the form of embroidery and prints.
The result is dirndls with the finest, picturesque hand embroidery and dresses with prints reminiscent of floral murals and flower meadows.
A love of detail
What makes Lena Hoschek's traditional costume collection so special are the carefully selected natural materials and the attention to detail that goes into every piece. This season, robust linen bodices meet soft cotton skirts and form a harmonious combination with elegant silk aprons.
Delicate millefleurs adorn not only the popular Gretl dresses but also the Maeve maxi skirt and the Josepha dress, evoking images of lush Mediterranean flower meadows. Gorgeous floral prints and playful ribbon embellishments lend each garment a light and airy summer freshness.
In addition to the Lena Hoschek classics, the Lolly dress in two delicate shades makes its debut this season and brings a breath of fresh air to the traditional costume line. In pastel green and soft pink, the sleeveless newcomer with its timeless design blends wonderfully into the traditional costume collection and has become a classic that is already indispensable.
