Futurologist Mario Herger has been investigating how artificial intelligence is changing our lives for years. He talks to "Krone" about who will benefit from it and who will lose out.

"Krone": As part of the location agency's Innovation Day in Igls, you spoke about the possibilities and opportunities of artificial intelligence (AI). How can Tyrolean companies use AI?
Mario Herger: Artificial intelligence can be used in all sectors to contribute to productivity and increase economic strength. The field of application is very broad and every company should get to grips with AI now rather than later. Balanced technology helps us to gain time. By combining the best of both worlds, innovations can be developed in a targeted manner. For example, AI can summarize emails, highlight the most important points and then transfer the whole thing to a file. AI is also very good at recognizing visual things and can be used well in the manufacturing industry.
