“American Pie”: From Los Angeles to Linz

Series star Thomas Ian Nicholas also stopped off in Linz on his "American Pie" Emo Night tour. He reveals in the "Krone" talk that his new album will be released by a Linz label - and that he will soon be coming back to Upper Austria for a concert.

Although the Deutsche Bahn is on strike, Thomas Nicholas - currently on tour in Germany - arrived in Linz on time for his concert detour. "It's my first time here," says the actor and musician, who is known to many as Kevin Myers in the teen series "American Pie".

But he is also a musician and wants to combine the two. At his concert at Plato, he played many hits from the cult series, which have become the soundtrack of youth for several generations. There is also something new on the film front, as the 43-year-old can currently be seen with his son in the Amazon Prime series "Underdeveloped".

A star "to attack"
He has grown fond of Linz: "I signed my first record deal with Sbäm Records," he tells the Krone. The new (seventh) album by the Thomas Nicholas Band will be released here on May 17. And the former teen star will be back: he is one of the headliners at Sbäm Fest 2024, which takes place from May 31 to June 1 at the Schlachthof in Wels and in Stuttgart.
