On Monday afternoon, a 19-year-old man was threatened and brutally robbed by two strangers in Vienna-Simmering. The police have now published mugshots of one of the two suspects and are asking for information.

In broad daylight, the two suspects intercepted the 19-year-old in Geiselbergstraße, dragged him to the nearby Herderpark and threw him to the ground. This was followed by several blows to the victim's head and body.

• Male, about 1.75 m tall, about 25 years old
• Three-day beard
• Black jacket, green cargo pants, white sports shoes and black "Versace" sunglasses

Victim was able to flee
The strangers then grabbed the cell phone. Nevertheless, they did not let go of the 19-year-old. They threatened to "shoot him in the head" if he did not immediately withdraw money for them from a nearby bank. Only after handing over the money was the victim able to flee and alert the police.
