Jos Verstappen has once again spoken out in the affair surrounding Red Bull team boss Christian Horner and expressed his support for the woman who made the serious allegations against the team boss public. "I sympathize with the woman after everything she has been through," said the father of world champion Max Verstappen.

Horner had called for a line to be drawn under the spicy affair surrounding him. "My wife and my family have supported me enormously, but the interference in my family life is now enough," the Briton appealed at the team bosses' press conference on Thursday ahead of the Saudi Arabia GP.

For Jos Verstappen, it is "a little too late" for that. He does not believe that is possible. Too much has happened for that," he told the Daily Mail. Verstappen doesn't want to talk about the subject at all "because it would cause problems". For the rally driver, the well-being of his son Max comes first: "That's all that matters to me. That he is happy."

"Red Bull seems to know exactly what they are doing with her"
The employee involved is said to have been suspended by Red Bull in the meantime and is now seeking legal action in a civil lawsuit. This could shed new light on Red Bull's internal investigation, which had initially exonerated Horner. Verstappen senior: "Red Bull seems to know exactly what they are doing with her. We will see. I think it's up to her to go on the offensive and then wait and see what happens. I'm not up to date with what's going on around her. But all these things have an impact on Max."

He continues: "I think it's too late for Christian to retreat to the position that he should be left alone now. But he has the support of the Thai owner. So I think he will stay for the rest of the season. I have said that it would be bad if he stays. This whole situation is not good for the team."

The fact is, Red Bull's hat is on fire. A lot will certainly happen at the world champion racing team over the next few days.
