In August 2022, Bernadette Lang walked down the aisle to enter into a covenant with God. The "bride of Jesus" has committed herself to lifelong abstinence. Has the woman from the Innviertel region already had weak moments, how does she live intimacy and what is so "scandalous" about her love? The church is outraged.

A young lady opens the door: slim figure, long brown hair, a pleasant smile, an attractive woman. And so "normal". But Bernadette Lang is anything but normal - at least for the majority of people. The 33-year-old from Kopfing walked down the aisle in August 2022 to commit herself to God. She said "yes" to live as an eternal virgin. Lang runs the Home Academy in the middle of Salzburg. It is part of the Loretto Movement, a Catholic association that is classified as conservative and faithful to the Bible. 40 students take part in a nine-month discipleship program here.
