Straka dropped back at the Arnold Palmer Invitational
Professional golfer Sepp Straka dropped back from eighth to 23rd place in the second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which is endowed with 20 million dollars in prize money.
The 30-year-old shot 73 (one over par) at the prestigious tournament in Orlando (Florida) on Friday (local time) after playing a round of 69 the day before. Straka, who is two under par overall, easily made the cut for the top 50 despite a double bogey.
Sextet in the lead
A sextet including the Americans Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark, the Irishman Shane Lowry and the Japanese Hideki Matsuyama are in the lead. All are on seven under par. Meanwhile, defending champion Kurt Kitayama (USA) missed the cut for the weekend and only finished 66th out of 69 starters, just ahead of England's Tommy Fleetwood.
