Aggressive groups have certainly been waiting for this

The transit area in Pichling is already full again, earlier in the year than ever before. The group, known to be aggressive and demanding, is causing damage to property and littering. Because the KPÖ and the Greens recently dismissed the issue almost arrogantly in the local council, VP city deputy Martin Hajart wants to go to the Sinti & Roma area with all the parliamentary groups.

Although the transit area for the traveling people is actually still closed for the winter, it has - as reported - been very busy since 13 January. According to the survey service, the group, which is known to be aggressive and particularly demanding, is currently making no attempt to leave again. Instead, its members have driven over the park boundary and the amount of litter in the bushes and shrubs is also increasing on a daily basis.

"It can't go on like this any longer"
Many people in Linz are wondering why the city is constantly standing idly by and watching this recurring "spectacle". A situation that Martin Hajart wants to change. "It can no longer go on like this, we have to do something," says the VP city deputy, who was recently annoyed that the KPÖ and the Greens in particular always play down the issue and believe that people "just need to be met at eye level and talked to". Hajart is now requesting a site inspection in the security committee - with police protection as a precaution.
