Tirol is waiting
Aich’s volleyball coach knows how to become champion
Aich/Dob's volleyball players have a score to settle with Tirol. This is to be settled in the semi-finals, starting on Thursday. Aich's coach knows how to become champions. . .
Let's get revenge! Last year, Aich were clearly defeated 1:4 by Tirol in the Bundesliga final. This time, the duel will take place in the semi-finals (best of five series). It starts on Thursday (18) in Bleiburg. "Tirol has the best team in the league, the biggest budget and the best conditions. They are the clear favorites and have the pressure," says coach Lucio Oro. "We can play freely!"
However, the Brazilian is a dangerous outsider with his boys, having won the last twelve games across all competitions. "When I came to Bleiburg, the team was mentally down and lacked confidence. We managed to get them to fully believe in themselves."
Four championship titles already
Oro knows how to celebrate success - after all, he has won four league titles, the Cup twice and the Supercup four times as assistant coach of Berlin. He has also won the Austrian Cup with Aich/Dob. "The important thing is to work harder than your opponent." That is his philosophy - because of which Lucio is often hard on his boys and has even had arguments with opposing coaches, most recently in the quarter-final against Graz.
