Scratches and bites
Panicked cat attacked three firefighters
An apartment fire broke out in Munich on Tuesday evening. But before firefighters could extinguish the fire, they first had to deal with panicked cats. It rained bites and scratches for the firefighters.
The starting point of the operation was light smoke from an apartment on the second floor, where several cats were present. The reason was burning craft materials that were found in a room.
Three firefighters attacked
After the material had been extinguished, the emergency services brought a total of seven cats outside. However, one of the animals panicked and fled into the stairwell. A firefighter standing there tried to prevent the escape and grabbed the cat. However, the cat bit into the man's thumb. The incident commander came to the rescue and was bitten on the hand. A third colleague intervened and suffered several scratches.
The tenant, who had arrived in the meantime, finally took the cat from them. After ventilation, the woman and her seven cats were able to return to the apartment. The three injured emergency personnel received medical treatment and were able to continue their duties.
