In an interview with krone.tv, a trauma surgeon from the Lorenz Böhler Hospital, Dr. Heinz Brenner, is bluntly angry with the AUVA management.

The end for the Lorenz-Böhler in Vienna-Brigittenau! Due to serious fire protection deficiencies, the struggle to save the trauma center and the question of guilt begins.

While City Councillor for Health Peter Hacker is seeking talks, tradesmen from outside the company were spotted behind the scenes at around 10 p.m. on Monday after a works meeting. Dr. Brenner comments: "They opened up the ceiling, exposed the steel structure, and the employees knew nothing about it." Dr. Brenner attributes this to a "verbal order" from the general manager.
