Accident in Dornbirn
Metal salad after nausea
There was a lot of alcohol involved in a rear-end collision in Dornbirn on Sunday night. The circumstances can justifiably be described as curious.
At around 1.20 a.m., a 24-year-old driver was driving his car on Josef-Ganahl-Straße towards the junction with Höchsterstraße, with two other passengers in the car. One of them was his passenger, who had obviously had a bad night of partying. In any case, the young man threw up, prompting the driver to slam on the brakes and stop the car. This maneuver in turn caught a female driver (22) driving behind completely by surprise - the young woman was unable to swerve or brake in time and crashed her car into the stationary car of the man in front.
As it turned out, the 22-year-old was also not in the best of health at the time of the accident: a breathalyzer test was positive and she refused to take the test on the calibrated breathalyzer, protesting loudly - which, as we all know, is rarely a good idea.
Naturally, the 24-year-old was also tested for his fitness to drive, but his alcohol test was negative. All persons involved in the accident were treated by the emergency services at the scene and then taken to Dornbirn Hospital for further clarification. Josef-Ganahl-Straße was completely closed while the accident was being investigated.
