Car burst into flames in the middle of the road

Shock for a driver (61) on Saturday afternoon while driving on Seefelder Straße in Tyrol. His car suddenly started to burn and was fully engulfed in flames in a very short time. Despite the rapid intervention of the fire department, the car could no longer be saved.

The Seefeld fire department had to respond to the fire in the Schlossberg area at around 3 pm. When the emergency services arrived, the vehicle was already fully engulfed in flames. The driver, a 61-year-old German, had noticed a strong odor in the interior and noticed smoke coming from the rear-view mirror. He then parked his vehicle.

Equipped with breathing apparatus, the firefighters tackled the flames. They were able to extinguish the fire quickly. However, the vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire. Liquids that had leaked from the vehicle were also absorbed. The damage is extensive and the cause of the fire is not yet known. Fortunately, no one was injured.
