Four fire brigades in action
One injured in office fire at the end of the working day
The situation was unclear on Thursday evening when smoke escaped from an office building in Ansfelden. But it soon became clear: there really was a fire! It is thanks to an employee that no further damage was caused. The emergency services had to attend to an injured person.
"One person was taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation," said the rescue control center in Linz on Thursday evening. However, it was probably a non-threatening injury sustained by a helper who had taken the first countermeasures with a hand extinguisher before the firefighters arrived.
Shortly after 6.30 p.m., the Ansfelden fire department was alerted to an unclear fire, and an employee of the company concerned is said to have called the helpers. When it became clear that there really was a fire, three other fire brigades were alerted. The fire in an office was quickly brought under control, but the affected premises were badly damaged. After "fire out", the police began investigating the cause of the fire and are still working on it.
Next operation in Hörsching
Shortly after the end of this operation, the fire departments in the Linz-Land district were called out again at around 8pm: A garden shed was reportedly on fire in Hörsching.
