Musk's critical role
Battle for the White House: President by Elon’s grace?
Biden versus Trump - that's what I call brutality! This is how the upcoming US election campaign can be summarized, loosely based on Helmut Qualtinger. What role is the increasingly politically active tech eccentric Elon Musk playing in the close race for the White House? Krone+ explains the background.
For many years, Elon Musk assured us that he wanted to stay out of politics. Those days are over. Definitely. The 52-year-old is more active in the political sphere than ever before. The coronavirus pandemic, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, the right to freedom of expression - Musk comments on absolutely every political issue.
With his statements, usually of a highly controversial nature, Musk generates a corresponding stir. Just a few days ago, he agreed with a user on his short message platform X (formerly Twitter) who had written that "Jewish communities" were inciting "hatred against white people". "You told the actual truth," commented Musk.
The background to this is the "Great Exchange" conspiracy theory, which is widespread in far-right circles, according to which Jews are secretly planning to bring illegal migrants to Western countries in order to weaken the white majorities.
