Actor Pablo Grant dies at the age of just 26
The shock is profound: his family announced on Sunday evening that actor Pablo Grant had died unexpectedly.
"The family and friends of the deceased are inconsolable (...). We thank all the fans who have followed and supported Pablo's artistic journey over the years," reads the statement.
Grant had actually planned to go on tour with his group BHZ this week, which was then canceled at very short notice for "illness-related reasons" on Instagram. In addition to acting, Grant was also a successful musician. He founded BHZ in 2016 under the pseudonym Dead Dawg with rappers Ion Miles, Monk, Longus Mongus and Big Pat as well as a team of producers.
TV fans will know Grant from the Magdeburg edition of the ARD crime series "Polizeiruf 110", where he has played detective superintendent Günther Márquez since 2020. He was also seen in "Tatort", among others.
Cause of death was thrombosis. This is when a blood clot blocks a vessel such as a vein. This can result in a life-threatening pulmonary embolism.
Dismayed fans expressed their grief on social media. One user on Instagram wrote: "Forever in so many hearts. As a person and as an artist. Rest in peace Pablo."
