Air rescuers rescue ice climber with rope

Air rescuers had to be called out to an accident in the mountains in Bad Gastein on Friday morning. A person was rescued by helicopter.

Fortunately, a person was only slightly injured while ice climbing on Friday around midday. She had fallen from the "Fenstergucker" icefall in Bad Gastein. The Red Cross sent the Martin 1 helicopter from the St. Johann helicopter base. At the scene, the air rescuer was lowered down to the ice wall on a rope.

He was able to rescue and transport the person within a short time. She was taken to Schwarzach Hospital with minor injuries.
