Chance proliferation: “Of course that wasn’t nice!”

Rapid missed numerous chances to score on Thursday evening, but still progressed to the Conference League quarter-finals in the end. "That wasn't nice, of course," said Matthias Seidl, who was also unhappy with the chances created against Banja Luka. 

The Hütteldorfer advanced with a 2-1 home win after extra time, making it to the last eight of a European Cup competition for the first time in 29 years and ensuring the furthest advance by a domestic club at European level since Red Bull Salzburg's Europa League semi-final in 2018.
