Detective caught shoplifter: Suspect is 11

A young shoplifter (11) was caught red-handed by a private detective in a supermarket in Rum (Innsbruck-Land district). The boy is said to have already struck several times in stores. 

The boy was noticed by a private detective. He observed the eleven-year-old in a supermarket in Rum trying to steal goods worth several hundred euros.

"Instigated by his mother"
The child described having already committed shoplifting at the beginning of March. "He stated that his mother had instigated the thefts," explained the police. The mother (43) who was questioned confessed. Charges will be brought to the Innsbruck public prosecutor's office.
