There was a serious traffic accident in Henndorf (Flachgau) on Friday afternoon. The crash with a truck resulted in one death and three injuries. A large contingent of rescue workers was deployed.

All attempts at resuscitation were in vain! Despite immediate resuscitation attempts, a 31-year-old man from Lower Austria died in an accident in the Henndorf bypass tunnel on Friday afternoon. Three other people - two passengers of the deceased and the truck driver - suffered minor injuries, according to the Red Cross.

The accident happened shortly after 1 pm. A truck and a car collided at high speed. The 31-year-old driver was severely trapped and could only be freed from the car by the fire department using hydraulic equipment.

The three people with minor injuries were taken to the regional hospital and the accident hospital in Salzburg by the Red Cross. The clean-up work took several hours. The fire department also had to bind leaking oil and set up fire protection. The Floriani arrived from Henndorf, Straßwalchen and Neumarkt. In order to clarify the course of the accident, the public prosecutor's office summoned expert Gerhard Kronreif to the scene.
