Strike causes change of plan for Kraft and Co.

Munich Airport is usually a hive of activity from early in the morning until late in the evening. However, things will be different on Thursday and Friday. A strike is planned at the airport in the white sausage metropolis. This in turn means that various flights will have to be rebooked. Including those of the Austrian ski jumpers. 

"We had already made a plan, but now everything is different," says Stefan Kraft, who accepts the whole thing with a smile.

The Austrian eagles were originally due to take off via Munich on Thursday for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim. But now they are already on the plane today. "Maybe the whole thing is good for something," says the three-time individual world champion, trying to look on the bright side. "I've already been through so much, so I can adapt quickly," Kraft emphasizes.

However, the strike has no effect on the red-white-red cross-country skiers. The team led by Olympic bronze medallist Teresa Stadlober and Mika Vermeulen was last in action at the World Cup in Falun, Sweden, where they gained confidence for the title fights in Trondheim with some top places. Instead of traveling home for a short time, they decided to head straight to Norway.
